It always upsets me when I see individuals in Facebook groups beating themselves up because they have suddenly gained 2kg over night. They then think what's the point, and talk about throwing in the towel. 


The truth is, unless they have eaten 15,400 Kcals more than they need to maintain weight (i.e. their normal amount of food then over 7 large dominoes stuffed pizzas on top of that) then they haven't gained 2kg of fat overnight. 


Weight gain and loss vs fat loss are two completely different things and our weights fluctuate each day for a multitude of reasons, normally due to how much volume is in the gut and how much extra water they're retaining, read more about it here.
