Food takes up a huge proportion of our daily lives, whether we're thinking, planning, prepping or enjoying food, its a component of our lives that's fundamental and it's not going to change anytime soon. Having gone through my own food related battles, guided by myths and food fears I wanted to learn the truth and evidence that underpins best practice.
Once I graduated MNU, insuring me to work across multiple disciplines including weight loss, PCOS, sports performance and others, I decided that I wanted to specialise in sports performance. I am currently undertaking a MSc for additional experience in the field of endurance, team-based, strength and power sports.
Despite this focus, my philosophy remains the same, allowing me to work across the disciplines. I focus on providing you the education in a simple and clarified manner. This is coupled with numerous psychological practices that help you implement the relevant changes and aid your creation of new habits, routines and strategies so that it helps you achieve your goal, whether a performance edge or improved health.
Nutrition is often complex, requiring both internal and external knowledge in order to help you make choices that keep you both healthy and happy.
One is not more important than the other, and therefore I will help you identify the small changes that make a big difference, with the use of real world practical examples.
Here at JMS Nutrition, I have a wealth of experience helping my clients find better health and performance through improved eating habits. No needless overhauls, just intelligent practice.
I'm based in Manchester, but tend to work online so you can access me anytime, from any place. Call me on +447713579297 to start your nutritional journey today.
An online consultation is so quick and easy. An ideal way to take some time out, and just have a chat. Together we can explore how a nutritionist can help you. Whether you're looking to improve your diet to hit that sub 4 marathon, or want to improve your body composition I can explain exactly how changes to your nutritional outlook and lifestyle habits can affect your mind, body, and general wellbeing. You may be sure of what you need or you may need some advice and guidance. Either way, it never hurts to talk to an expert. I'm just the touch of a button away.
Practicing in an evidence-based manner is of particular importance in nutrition. For years we have been inundated with myths, weather from media sources, family and friends, and even some doctors! For instance, we have been told carbs are the reason behind our fat gain, or we aren't allowed to eat after 8pm. While they may be successful strategies for some individuals, helping them cut down on the quantity of food they eat, there's nothing magical about either.
Being truly evidence-based means understanding the principles so together we can choose the methods that are most likely to suit you. I will provide you with the autonomy and competence to take control of your health forevermore.
